The heat in California has moved you still minutes before in your spell, and now you sit strapped down in the air-conditioned jet cockpit. Now you know a lot about radar, weapon systems, navigation systems, radio beacons, radar and other things which you know before maybe only from the flight simulator. <br> <br> <img alt="L-39 in formation flight" src="images/combat2.jpg" align="left" width="323" height="242"> After 5 minutes of steep path flight you bring the jet in a normal flight altitude of 4,500 meters and start to observe your surroundings. The radar shows no foreign airplanes in your nearness of 10 kilometers and you feel, actually, safe. If there is this order not in your head which was given you definitively: Detecting a foreign hunter in the Highness's area. <br> <br> Somewhere there outside (about you, among you or on the left or on the right) he must be. You can feel his presence, but even the highly electronic systems of your Albatross jet say to you, there is nothing. Nevertheless, you feel an internal restlessness, because you know: After a rest, there can follow a thunderstorm! <br> <br> Suddenly, you hear the voice of your pilot: „ There, 3 o'clock from the sun coming, approx. 650 km/h. Elusiveness! Immediately rise! “ <br> <br> You pull the tax bat upwards in a reckless maneuver and further start to rise. You push the gas lever forwards and fly almost vertically upwards! Your radar indicates the other jet which approaches you from now from below rapidly. You must get your jet in another flight position, and you must win an advantage. <br> <br> <img alt="L-39 in formation flight" src="images/combat3.jpg" align="right" width="353" height="237"> On 9.000 meters of flight altitude, you pull the jet in vertical flight position and very sudden you see on the radar, that the other jet (an other L-39) has sat down behind you!
